Homeopathy vs. Allopathy: More Than Matter
Where is the problem?
The view of the reason disease is not solely or primarily the material cause according to the homeopathic principle explained by Hahnemann. Instead, he observed and posited the theory that disease (or dis-ease) is caused by a mistuning of the person's vital force—the non-material source that energizes the matter of which a person exists.1 Homeopathy does not argue that people are not material but that a non-material cause energizes the matter.
Allopathy presupposes, according to Hahnemann, that material causes (disease material, blood accesses) alone are to blame for any disease.2 Treatments are designed to address material causes, and those treatments (removal of tissue, suppression of disease) may starve the patient of resources needed to bring healing.
